Fredrik Johnsson

Engineer, strategist, multi-cultural, family man, athlete
Experience
He was born in Sweden, educated in the US, and is now firmly planted in Barcelona. With a degree in Aeronautical Engineering and an MBA, both from MIT, Fredrik spent 8 years as an engineer, primarily developing laser-based medical devices. For the past 13 years he has been developing business strategies in more than 15 countries with McKinsey & Co, Monitor Company and as a Partner with Cluster Consulting/DiamondCluster International. He also created and launched, together with ESADE and the Government of Catalunya, what is now CreaFutur, a non-profit foundation dedicated to bringing consumer insights and future vision to SME's in Catalunya.

Experience
Rich's areas of expertise are user research through contextual inquiry and co-creation and managing the design process for digital and physical products and services. He has lived and worked around the globe across most product categories, but has a particular fondness for making sense of the massive and ongoing market, technology, and social changes that define industries such as digital communications, banking, and entertainment. Prior to joining Node, Rich was a partner in Nest, a design research and strategy consultancy in New York. Previously Rich was Director of user experience for Telecom, Media, and Entertainment and led the Global Interactive Media practice at Sapient.
